Coast to Coast NDE Services is a premier Long Range Guided Wave service provider and is in need of a Level I GWUT Technician to work alongside our CSWIP Level III GWUT Analyst. There are only a handful of Certified CSWIP level III GWUT Analysts in the world and this is an opportunity to train and work alongside one of those people.

Advanced UT Inspector in PAUT, LRUT / Pipeline Integrity Inspector

Duties: Provide NDE utilizing Advanced UT Methods, Techniques and equipment.  Perform inspections of existing pipeline coatings and condition, documenting coating anomalies. Perform visual inspections of pipeline, measuring and documenting metal loss type defects. Perform MT inspections on pipeline for SCC and weld defects. Perform inspections of remediation and repair methods.

Advanced Ultrasonic Methods, Techniques & Equipment:
1. Phased Array Inspection utilizing the Olympus OMNISCAN MX & EPOCH 1000i PAUT Systems
2. Long Range Guided Wave utilizing the TELETEST Mach III System by Plant Integrity

Experience & Certifications Desired:
1. NDE UT Level II Shear wave capable (for all Advanced Techniques)
2. J. Mark Davis Phased Array UT Course(s) (for PAUT Operation only)
3. CSWIP Level I & II Certification (in either GUL or TELETEST operations)
4. Associates Degree in NDE
5. 3+ years of experience in all or one of the Advanced UT Techniques

As the inspection documentation process is very computer intensive, candidate must have above average computer skills and understanding.

Additional training and certifications will be provided as needed to fulfill the inspection requirements desired by our clients and to advance the careers of the selected candidates. Sr. Corrosion Technician – Survey Crew Leader
Coast to Coast Inspections & Integrity Assessments, also known as Coast to Coast NDE Services, has expanding its services and is searching for qualified staff. We are currently taking resumes for Sr. Corrosion Technicians/Survey Crew Leader/Supervisor.

Duties:

  • Supervise and perform advanced Cathodic Protection (CP) assigned projects utilizing employees and/or contractor work forces.
  • Provide expertise in CP testing, maintenance, and design services.
    Plan and perform duties involved with testing of corrosion control systems on pipelines and evaluating the condition of existing pipelines.
  • Work with specific objectives and instruction from senior personnel as well as customer drawings and specifications.
    Conduct various specific test procedures to gather data for evaluation purposes.
    Perform over-the-line, close interval surveys.
    Gather structure-to-soil potential data, soil measurements and rectifier data.
    Assist senior personnel in the preparation of survey reports and final job reports.
  • Assemble data for preparation of final client report including service recommendations.
  • Diagnose and recommend remedies for system difficulties observed during resurvey operations. Recommend modifications as needed.
  • Provide maintenance of field test equipment, ensure good operating condition and render minor repairs.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years related corrosion control experience preferred.
  • NACE, CP Level II Certification preferred.
  • Must have strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong team and both internal and external customer service skills a must.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Travel is required.

General:
Understand code requirements related to cathodic protection. Understand AC voltage and its mitigation.


Position:  NDE Level I/Pipeline Integrity Inspector

Duties: Inspect, document and report on exposed pipelines for coating and metal loss anomalies. Collect data relating to the corrosion environment within the exposed pipeline area.


Data Collection will consist of:

  1. CP measurements,
  2. pH measurements
  3. Soil sampling and resistivity measurements
  4. Sub-Meter GPS point collection
  5. MIC sampling and testing
  6. Mapping of coating holidays
  7. Mapping & depth measurement of pipeline metal loss defects
  8. RSTRENG/KAPA Calculations
  9. Magnetic Particle Testing of exposed pipe & repairs
  10. Ultrasonic wall thickness and defect measurement w/ straight beam & shear wave
  11. Photo Documentation of site/pipeline assessments and repairs

Experience & Certifications desired:

  1. NDE Certification – MT II ( or path from MT Level I to Level II in place)
  2. NDE Certification – UT I
  3. Understanding of Corrosion
  4. Training in Nondestructive Examination (NDE)
  5. Candidates must have a valid driver’s License, be willing to travel .
