Coast NDE involved in Clarion SCC Course

Wilsonville, OR - August 1st, 2006- Coast NDE is pleased to that it will be involved in Clarion's Stress Corrosion Cracking Course co-presenting with Dr. Raymond R. Fessler and Mr. John Mackenzie. Mr. Brian Snider, Advance Services Manager, Corporate Level II will be demonstrating SCC Sizing techniques along with Coast NDE's President Jerald Baccari.

Coast NDE will be presenting the 1/2 hands-on portion of the course demonstrating:

Magnetic Testing

• Theory of how it works
• Difference between visible dry, visible wet (black on white) and wet fluorescent
• Practical presentation of Wet visible and wet fluorescent

Ultrasonics

• Theory
• Difference between standard flaw detection and phased array- advantages and disadvantages
• Practical demonstration of flaw sizing

Eddy Current

• Theory
• Difference between ET and UT- advantages and disadvantages
• Practical demonstration of flaw sizing
