In-Line Inspection Support

Coast NDE In-line Inspection Services offers the client a seamless experience, from initial planning and execution of ILI runs through Project Management of dig programs. We provide qualified Project Management and NDE Assessment personnel to suit client needs for cost-effective and timely completion of ILI programs.

The key to successful in-line inspections and accurately locating anomalies is preparation. Detailed planning is essential. Coast NDE's expertise and experience provides the client with well organized ILI runs and the documentation necessary for successful dig programs and future ILI runs.

Coast NDE begins this process by evaluating the specific nature of the pipeline segment to be pigged. Careful placement of permanent benchmarks, based on the evaluation of the specific characteristics of the pipeline segments, is essential to a well organized and successful ILI run. Coast NDE provides the client with all the documentation needed to locate benchmarks, such as maps, survey notes, GPS coordinates, and written route directions for locating AGMs. Detailed documentation provides the client with the ability to locate benchmarks through multiyear dig programs and to plan future ILI runs.

During ILI runs Coast NDE can provide qualified trackers to set AGMs or, if the client prefers, train the client's personnel to track tools and set AGMs. Coast can also manage construction support during ILI runs.

After the ILI data has been analyzed, we provide a Project Management Team to assist in all aspects of the dig program. From initial anomaly location survey, site evaluation, permitting, construction (digging, repairs, recoat etc.) and managing contractors, Coast has the qualified personnel to ensure a timely and successful dig program. Coast also provides NDE assessment and OPS documentation critical to maintaining an operational and safe pipeline.

With Coast NDE assisting in each step of the process from initial planning and preparation through NDE assessment, the client will be assured a seamless and cost-effective solution to pipeline maintenance and documentation.
